  11. 1 inch Ginger
  12. 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  13. to taste Salt
  14. For White Chutney
  15. 5-6 Green Chillies
  16. For Red Chutney
  17. 4-5 Red whole dry Chillies (soak it in hot water with seeds)

Instructions to make to make Coconut chutney -

  1. Break and take out the coconut flesh if you don't have Coconut scraper. If you have scrap it.makes life easy.if you get scrapped coconut-some countries sell freshly grated coconut then it is a Boon.
  2. Grind all ingredients except the tempering ingredients for both chutney in a mixer grinder adding water as required (I don't like runny chutney so I just add enough water to help in grinding only)
  3. Once both are ready. Heat oil in a tempering pan,add the Mustard seeds, Urad Dal, Hing, Whole dry chilli and atlast the curry leaves and pour everything over the chutney and mix well. I do separate tempering for both.
  4. Serve it with your favourite Idli, Dosa, Vada or anything you love having with it. Bon Appetit!
