  8. 4-5 Fresh Green Chillies: Slit
  9. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  10. 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  11. 4 tbsps Mustard Oil
  12. As Required Water (RT)

  1. Cut up the yam as aforesaid…Wash well & boil it in the pressure cooker with some salt & lemon sized tamarind ball in it in order to avoid any kinda itchy feeling later on as- Once done, strain it well discarding the boiled water & the tamarind ball, both-Set aside for about 10-15 mins time.
  2. Now, with the help of the back of a ladle- mash the boiled yam roughly & we needn’t make it absolutely smooth and nice at this point- Alternatively, you can keep it as is & proceed with the next step of the cooking process.
  3. Get ready with the aforesaid all other ingredients- In a mixing cum baking bowl: Add in the measured Mustard Seeds, Coconut & Yoghurt Paste, Mustard Oil, salt & sugar, green chilies- Mix everything well together now, until nicely combined.
  4. Allow some water to it for the correct consistency required- Post doing so, Cover it & allow it to rest for about an hour’s time before putting it in the microwave for cooking further
  5. After the resting time: Microwave it by placing a microwaveable bowl with its cover on & allow it to cook for about 5-6 mins time & then, turning off the oven, let it be inside it for another 10 mins time before taking it out to serve.
  6. No need to transfer it in a separate bowl or platter- if you’ve already used the Oven-proof serving ones…Serve as is, since it doesn’t require any further garnish (of course, that’s your own call, I don’t feel like going overboard with the same further)- TIME to ENJOY it with piping hot steamed rice- Yess, it’s best had with the Rice only & doesn’t get along well with the Indian or any other types of Bread 🤤💁🏻‍♀️.
