- For Idli batter grind separately soak dal and rice.Then mix it well with salt.let them ferment for 10 to 12 hrs.
- In the steamer boil water.Put the batter in greased plates.Steam for 10 min
- For chutney.grind coconut, Green chillies,salt, roasted udad dal,ginger,onion and lemon juice.
- For tempering add oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves.Put on chutney
- Serve Idli with chutney
